Plain-English terms for using Nutrition Facts AI. We've tried to make this as readable as possible.

By downloading, installing, or using Nutrition Facts AI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
These terms apply to all versions of the App available on the Apple App Store. Use of the App is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).
Nutrition Facts AI is an iOS utility application that uses on-device AI to scan food ingredient labels and generate a personalised health score based on the user's dietary profile and preferences.
- Ingredient label scanning via device camera
- On-device AI analysis using Apple Foundation Models
- Personalised health scoring based on user-defined flags
- Scan history and Food Box saved to your personal iCloud account
- Optional barcode lookup via Open Food Facts (open-source database)
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law.
- Do not use the App to make medical decisions or replace professional medical advice.
- Always consult a qualified healthcare professional, doctor, or registered dietitian before making dietary changes — especially if you have a medical condition such as diabetes, heart disease, allergies, or any other health concern.
- Ingredient analysis is based on general nutritional guidance and your personal profile settings. Results may not be accurate for all products or individuals.
- The App cannot guarantee that all allergens or flagged ingredients will be detected. Always read the physical label and consult the manufacturer for allergy-critical decisions.
You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
- Use the App to build a competing product or service.
- Attempt to circumvent subscription limits or access Pro features without a valid subscription.
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
The App, including its design, code, content, and branding, is owned by the developer and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal purposes only.
Nutritional information sourced from Open Food Facts is made available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Open Food Facts is not affiliated with Nutrition Facts AI.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:
- Inaccurate ingredient analysis or health scores
- Failure to detect allergens or flagged ingredients
- Decisions made based on information provided by the App
- Loss of data due to device failure, iCloud issues, or App malfunction
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice on next launch. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is based, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
